Galatians 5:7 – You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light”.
It is not a mistake that Government, Companies and Team of various natures spend millions of rand to create an image, the brand that sees them being identified different from the rest of their competitors. Every employees or team members also end up with his own identify within the team, identity cards are created and without it you have restriction as you cannot enter anywhere or area you would like to go or visit within the building or company structure. As a team member you have a symbol that identifies you as long as you remain the member of the team, to soccer and ruby team you even get your own jersey number that no one can wear but only you. Every time the supporters see the number they see you, who can forget jersey number for Brazil or even Argentina national soccer team, every time this number 10 comes to mind we think of Pele or Maradona because number 10 was their symbol of being part of the team they belong and were members of and to them it was the winning team.
I have looked around the world and during the FIFA games, people have a need to belong and no one want to belong to a losing team. I saw tears, disappointment, despair and to other fear when teams seem not to fulfill their expectations. It was a moment were you realize that when we make a choice to belong our hopes and dreams are placed on the efforts and skills of the team members believing that they are capable of achieving what we desire or inspire to have, defeating the opponent and be the winning team. Life seem to be all about that, promoting your interest to be above the rest at all times and at all cost, this is the game and we are all playing it depending on what team do we belong to and who are we playing for?
